While Google Play thinks Tamil is Afrikaans, Google is supposedly on a mission to bring Indian languages online

UPDATE: A few days after this post, Google suspended the Tamil version of this app from its app store. So, don’t think Google does not read your mail. They read your blog too.

A few days back, I put some Tamil text in the description box for Subhash Browser and they think it is Afrikaans! (There is no option to add a Tamil description.) Although I removed it, next morning, there is an automated mail saying there is an excess of keywords in the app page and if I don’t correct it in 7 days, they will remove it. I took a screenshot using Gnome Screenshot (it is extremely useful).

Today, there is a news item prominently featured in Google News about a new Google initiative to bring Indian languages online. Very, well… spend some of that money on yourself, numbskulls!

Google is on a publicity drive about some initiative to bring Indian languages online.

Somehow, I think this is all because of that oppressed, suppressed and depressed T Rajender. He is extremely talented but is misunderstood as well. Well, this is funny nevertheless.
